Weeks 6-8
I am now growing very rapidly and am the size of a small bean. Brain cells and nerve cells are forming fast, already beginning to interconnect and communicate. I am extremely sensitive to toxins such as alcohol at this stage of development. My organs are beginning to form but my intestines are too long to fit so they are still hanging out with my umbilical cord. I’m getting a face! My eyes are far apart but my lenses are starting to form. They look very dark. See the tiny buds poking out that will soon turn into my arms and legs?
